  5. Yesterday I tested using a banana peel as skin. I even made this mixture of honey, ketchup, and worcheshire sauce to help it stick and look like blood. (I’m trying the no  budget approach first to find what will work and what I’ll have to splurge on later.) The peel looked good with some concealer on it, and it folded with the movement of the skin nicely when I got all the banana out of it. However, I realized that it would not cut easily. So, for my movie, I will either have to pre-cut the peel and make it work that way by putting a thin layer of something over the top of the entire face and make sure the actor cuts that exact spot, or I need to find something else to represent the skin I’m going to cut. I was suggested peaches. They have the same firmness to them as facial skin does, but I think they’ll be too thick to apply to the face seamlessly.

  8. This piggy polish is made primarily for toes, but can also be used on fingernails.  I found that it didn’t last much longer than other polishes, though it doesn’t claim to. Definitely use a base coat for this color. I didn’t and there was a grotesque stain on my fingernails and toenails long after the polish had come off.  Honestly, I will not be buying polish from this company again.
